With more learning resources available on the internet, more children are using the home computer for study purposes. Broadband is being rolled out slowly across the country and more people are connecting to the Internet at faster rates than ever before.

I can provide impartial advice on Broadband services, how to connect your multiple computers to the Internet, backing up your data and the best use of firewalls and antivirus software. I can run a PC Health Check to make sure that all is running smoothly and if not, resolve issues and give advice on how to maintain your system yourself.

With wireless networking being adopted widely, I can install a wireless network for you but also make sure that it is secure and safe. The added bonus of having a network is that your system can be configured for multiple computers to share printers thus saving on the cost of buying additional printers.

I can provide independent, unbiased advice on what to buy and even buy it for you if you don't want the hassle of doing it yourself. Whilst I can rarely beat the prices offered by the big direct sellers, my prices include 30 days of free support from the date of delivery, standard warranties on the hardware (usually 12 months, but it varies), plus configuration, delivery and installation. For an additional fee, I am happy to spend some time with you training you on the use of your new computer.

If the lure of a package deal from one of the direct sellers is simply too good to pass up, I can install and configure your system and am happy to transfer data from your old system to the new.

Data Recovery

Did you delete a file and now discover that you had no backup? Did your hard drive die and take all your data with it? I can recover data from most drives - even if they've been formatted. I will pick up your system from your home and bring it back to my office where I can perform an analysis on the drive and determine how possible it will be to get data off it. From this I can determine how much paid time this will require and approximate how much elapsed time will be required to perform the data retrieval. However, there are no guarantees to how successful the data recovery will be.
